"I have never been too afraid to follow my heart or chase my dreams and I'm thrilled that it has led me here, to the creation of Silhouette Bags! My first professional job was in a U.S. Senator's office in Washington, DC. Believe it or not, this is where my interest in business began. After three years on the hill, I moved into the business sector in Utah, where I helped many small businesses strategize, grow and succeed. Long story short, my experiences there led to a series of discussions with my older brother (who is a humble genius) in which we both concluded, if they can do it, we can do it! All we needed was a bright idea... and luckily my sister-in-law came to the rescue. Our muse, like many of you, is a professional photographer who was in great need of a stylish, functional camera bag designed specifically for female photographers. After months of meticulous research and development, her dream bag has sprung to life and I am so excited to share it with the rest of you. I hope you love our first bag as much as she does and I can't wait to bring you more options as Silhouette Bags continues to grow!"
"From the ripe old age of eight years old, when our family got its first Commodore 64 computer system, I've been enamored with all things digital. In High School I was introduced to the world wide web and learned how to program hypercards and later html web pages. I also spent a lot of time in my school's dark room, not just so I could spend time in dark, close places with all the cute girls, but also because I had a love of taking and developing photos. Today's DSLR cameras are a bit fancier than what I had in those days, but I still have the same fascination with photography. During college I started working in the world of advertising and marketing, and though I got my degree in recreation management, I've stuck around the marketing industry and learned a lot. As I've spent many years helping some great companies promote their products and services, I've always had the desire to promote my own vision. When my lovely, photographer wife came to us with the problem of not being able to find a proper camera bag made for women, we decided to make it for her and then share it with the world."
